Kayaking In the fall, Coach Sharma will incorporate kayaking in the PE classes at Lake Saint Albans. We need help at the lake during class, and possibly donations/loans of life vests and kayaks for that week.
Gardening Help us keep our landscaping looking beautiful. We need help with weeding, planting, trimming, etc.
Morning Car Duty Greet and help younger students out of their cars at morning drop-off in front of school -- 8:00-8:15am on M,T,W,F (or 9:00-9:15am on Thursdays).
Teacher Appreciation Lunches It’s a parent tradition to show appreciation to the faculty; 3-4 parents prepare food for the school faculty and staff on conference day (one in the fall and one in early spring).
Presidential Fitness Help Coach Sharma record the physical achievements of our students as they participate in the presidential fitness assessments, in the fall and in the spring.
Grandparents’ Day Volunteers are needed to greet grandparents, serve refreshments, set up lunch, clean up, photograph, etc.
Holiday Shop This program helps Lower School students select holiday gifts for family/friends. We need help with setup on Wednesday afternoon, to help students shop both days, and to cleanup on Friday afternoon.
Soup Lunch Parents prepare a festive lunch for the students. If cooking is not your forte, there is always a need for serving, set up and clean up.
Trivia Night There are many different ways to help -- behind the scenes, ahead of time, or the night of.
Science Fair Current parents are needed to judge science projects of students in Grades 4/5/6. (Note: Parents of 4/5/6th graders cannot judge.)
Scholastic Book Fair Current parents are needed to set up the book sale in the Keeping Room, work the cash register during open hours, and take down the sale at the end.
Facilities We always need light handiwork help around the building: changing light bulbs and filters, painting, and basic maintenance.
