Welcome to 1-2-3 Language Arts

Our Language Arts classroom is a risk-free and positive learning environment. Students feel comfortable in their surroundings and know they can be themselves and make mistakes freely.

Think left, and think right and think low and think high.
Oh the things you can think up if only you try.

~ Dr. Seuss

Literature is used to introduce the concepts of language. The language arts program encompasses reading, listening, writing and oral language. Activities in the classroom encourage children to share thier ideas and experiences. Communicating with each other fosters good listening skills. Having ideas one wants to share leads naturally to the desire to record them. Through literature children are introduced to the concepts of language and usage. Students will study the parts of speech, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure.
