Fall 2020 Re-Opening Plan

Dear TFS Parents,

After a season of diligent research, we have finalized our plans for Phase 1 of our TFS@TFS Re-Opening for the 2020-21 school year. We have tried to balance the safety of our teachers and families with government recommendations and the developmental needs of our students. We aim to give them the most "normal" experience possible while delivering our mission without compromise. We want to be in our building. We want to be with our students.

As the school year progresses we will watch events in the area and may implement a hybrid model (combining distance learning and/or in-person classes) for the older students, but we will do everything we can to keep our youngest students in the building.

We recognize that each family makes different choices in terms of how they address the risks from the pandemic, but in order to make an in-person school experience possible, we have to ensure the safety and well-being of our entire TFS community. We ask you to thoughtfully review our Family Commitment.

Heading into this school year, we all face tremendous uncertainty, stark differences of opinion, and a wide range of anxiety and frustration. My hope is that The Fulton School can be a place of calm, kindness, and grace.  This is what your children need most, and this is something I think we all long for.  Working together, we can make TFS a safe place for our kids to thrive.

As always, never hesitate to reach out if you have questions or concerns.
