First Release: July 15, 2020   |   Updated August 12, 2020

We are creating layers of precaution, one upon another, and our facilities provide a layer of protection the students won’t notice at all. Although surfaces are not believed to spread the virus, we are taking extra precautions.

  • We will prop open the main doors during arrival and dismissal.
  • We will have gel hand sanitizer stations at the entrances and throughout the building.
  • Eight of our classrooms have sinks for handwashing within the classroom. Touchless soap dispensers will be installed in these areas.
  • Touchless hand sanitizers will be implemented in classrooms without sinks.
  • Our main bathroom facilities have been outfitted with touchless faucets.
  • We have installed higher level air filters, as recommended by Forge Architecture and Alfa Tech Engineering advising ISACS and California Independent Schools.
  • Teachers can open classroom windows to vent rooms as well, weather permitting.
  • Each classroom is on its own independent HVAC system, so they do not share air. Our Energy Recovery Ventilators bring in fresh air, filters it, and exhaust return air, keeping the air in the classroom new and fresh. We have a conditioned air exchange 24-7.
  • Drinking fountains will be closed. Water bottle filling stations will be open. We encourage all age students to bring water bottles for use throughout the day.
  • Teachers will wipe down desks and chairs between classes if more than one cohort uses them.
  • We will have approved disinfectants readily available for quick cleans during the day.
  • We will have social distancing signage throughout the campus.
  • Our third-party cleaning staff will be following all CDC guidelines each evening.
