First Release: July 15, 2020   |   Updated August 12, 2020

While we recognize that each family may make different choices in terms of how they address the risk from the pandemic, in order to make an in-person experience possible, we have to ensure the safety and well-being of our entire TFS community.

We are not claiming to know the best medical practices nor are we making political statements. We recognize that some of you may be less vulnerable or concerned. But we are requesting that every household take into account that we have high-risk populations in our midst and that if we have a number of cases in our population, it will impact our ability to continue with our in-person plans.

We would like a commitment from each family to:

  • Agree not to send your child to school if he/she is sick or exhibiting COVID-related symptoms.
  • Adhere to the safety protocols we put in place, like daily symptom and temperature screening.
  • Consider your social interactions and activities outside of school carefully. Effectively, you take your classmates and teachers with you everywhere you go. Weigh the number of people you’re exposing your family to with the importance of the activity.
  • Wear face masks/shields in public when unable to socially distance.
